TIP: Installing Cisco AnyConnect on a personal computer. Administrative rights are needed for the installation.

  1. Open a web browser and enter https://myfiles.ntc.edu.

  2. Enter your Username and Password and click Logon.

TIP:This is the same username and password used for email, Canvas, or MyNTC.

3. Click Download for macOS to install the Cisco AnyConnect Secure Client application.


4. Click on Save.

5. Locate the installer at the bottom of your screen and double-click on it.

6. Double-click the downloaded application.

7. Click continue Continue.

8. Click Install.

    1. You may be prompted for your local administrator credentials, enter them and click on Install Software.

    10. Click on Continue when the installation is finished.

    11. Click on Close when done.

    ...

    12. You will no longer need the installer and it can be deleted.

    13. AnyConnect Cisco Secure Client can be opened from the shortcut on your desktop, or from the icons on the top or bottom of your screen.

    14. Enter myfiles.ntc.edu as shown below and click on Connect. The software will switch to contacting our VPN system, and you will be prompted to login. Enter your Username and Password and click on OK
    TIP: If your username is SMITHJ, enter SMITHJ, do not enter smithj@ntc.edu or NTC\smithj

    15. Enter your NTC email address and click on Next.
