Staff_Mobile Printing for MacOS On Your Personal Device

Instructions written for MacOS Monterey.

In order to print to a NTC copier or printer from your personal device follow the written or video instructions below.

  1. Make sure the device is connected to the NTCGuest network.
    TIP: You must be on a NTC campus to connect to the NTCGuest network.

  2. Navigate to System Preferences and then Printers & Scanners.

 

 

3. Click the plus icon under the Printers & Scanners list.
TIP: This displays a list of all the discovered printers on the NTC network.


4. Select the printer you want to use from the list presented.

 

5. At the bottom of the dialog box check that Use: is set to Secure AirPrint.

If Secure AirPrint isn’t displayed:

  • Close the Add dialog.

  • Disconnect from the network, then reconnect to it again.

  • Check if you can see Secure AirPrint now. If you can’t, please contact your System Administrator.

 

6. Click Add.


7. After you add the printer close Printer & Scanners and then close System Preferences.

8. To print from your Mac, open the file you need to print and choose File > Print.

9. Make sure the correct NTC Mobile Print printer is selected (based on the previous steps) and verify the print job settings.
TIP: Students are charged $0.05 for black and white and $0.25 for color.

10. Select Print

11. You will be prompted to enter your Name (email) and Password.
TIP: This is the same username and password used for MyNTC. Your username is your email (username@students.ntc.edu).
