Student Zoom Screen Recording
If it is your first time setting up Zoom, please follow the instructions here to setup your account before continuing.
Mac Installation Instructions
Go to your search bar at the bottom of your screen, then type in Zoom. Click open on the right side, or click on Zoom Workplace to open it. Once it is open, click on new meeting. Make sure your microphone and camera are turned on for your meeting. Click start at the bottom right. Click on the share button in the bottom middle of your screen. Select the screen that you need to show, then click share at the bottom of the screen. A menu bar will appear at the top of your screen. Go to the far right-side and click on the 3-dots more button. Click record, then record to this computer. Your meeting will now record your screen. To end the recording, you can go back to the menu at the top of your screen and click on the record button, then stop recording. You can also just end the meeting. The recording that gets saved to your computer will be under Documents > Zoom. To upload the meeting, go to your Canvas course, find the assignment, then attach the file and submit it. NOTE: If you click record to cloud in step 9, Zoom will send you the video of the meeting through email once the meeting ends. Download the file once you receive it.
Go to https://ntc.zoom.us. Click sign in, then sign in to your NTC student account. NOTE: This will use the same email and password as when you are signing into Workday, Canvas, or email. Once you login, you will see your Zoom profile. Click host, then with video on at the top right to start a meeting. A new page will open ask you to open the app. Click cancel. Click on join from browser in the middle of the page. Click use microphone and camera in the middle of the popup. Click allow while visiting the site in the Google Chrome popup. Click on the share button in the middle of the menu at the bottom of the screen. Select the screen you would like to share, then click share at the bottom. In the same menu below, click the record button towards the right-side. Click record to cloud in the menu popup above record. Once you are done showing your screen, click the end meeting button, then end meeting for all. It will take some time for the video to process, then you will receive an email to download the file. To upload the meeting, go to your Canvas course, find the assignment, then attach the file and submit it.
Open your app launcher from the bottom of your screen, and find Zoom near the bottom. It may be in a different location on your Mac. Click on it to open it. Once it is open, click on new meeting. Make sure your microphone and camera are turned on for your meeting. Click start. Click on the share button in the bottom middle of your screen. If it is your first time sharing screens in Zoom, you will see a warning sign and not be able to share screens. If you select a screen, then click share, you will get a popup to open your system settings. Click that button. Click the slider to the far right of Zoom to enable it to share screens. A popup to enter in your computer username and password will come up. Go ahead and enter them in. After entering in your computer username and password, you will be asked to quit and reopen Zoom. Go ahead and click the button. Once Zoom reopens, restart the meeting. Click the share button again located at the bottom of your meeting screen. Select the screen that you need to show, then click share. A popup will come up that Zoom is requesting to bypass the system private window. Click allow. A menu bar will appear at the top of your screen. Go to the far right-side and click on the 3-dots more button. Click record, then record to this computer. Your meeting will now record your screen. To end the recording, you can go back to the menu at the top of your screen and click on the record button, then stop recording. You can also just end the meeting. A folder will open with your meeting recording. To upload the meeting, go to your Canvas course, find the assignment, then attach the file and submit it. NOTE: If you click record to cloud in step 16, Zoom will send you the video of the meeting through email once the meeting ends. Download the file once you receive it.

Click allow to share screen in the popup on your screen. Another button will come up to share entire screen, click on that. In the same menu below, click the record button towards the right-side. Once you are done showing your screen, click the end meeting button, then end meeting for all. It will take some time for the video to process, then you will receive an email to download the file. To upload the meeting, go to your Canvas course, find the assignment, then attach the file and submit it.
