Mac_Cisco AnyConnect Install

Instructions

  1. Open a web browser and enter https://myfiles.ntc.edu

  2. Enter your Username and Password and click Logon TIP: This is the same username and password used for email, Canvas, or MyNTC.

  1. Click Download for macOS to install the Cisco AnyConnect application.


TIP: If you receive a message saying another version is installed, you and can proceed to step 12

  1. Click on Save


You should see this at the bottom of your screen

  1. Double-click the installer.

  1. Click continue

  1. Click Install

You will be prompted for your administrator credentials, enter them and click on Install Software

  1. Click on Continue when it turns blue

  1. Click on Close when done

  1. You do not need the installer anymore, so you can delete it

  1. You can launch AnyConnect from the shortcut on your desktop, or from the icons on the top and bottom of your screen

  1. Enter myfiles.ntc.edu as shown below and click on Connect. The software will switch to contacting our VPN system, and you will be prompted to login.

Enter your Username and Password and click on OK TIP: If your username is SMITHJ, enter SMITHJ, do not enter smithj@ntc.edu or NTC\smithj TIP: If you have Duo two-factor authentication, you will need to approve the Duo notification on your smartphone or enter the numbers on your fob with your password (e.g. "password,fob code")

  1. When you are successfully connected a lock will appear on the icons at the top and bottom of your screen






TIP: To disconnect, right click the icon in the task bar and choose Disconnect.
