NOTE: You do need to have access to create a channel in your Teams group.
Go into your Team and click the three dots next to the Team name.
Click add channel.
Enter in your new channel name, channel description, and a channel type.
NOTE: Teams channels should be made private to restrict access to only the members of the channel.
Click create.
If you created a private channel, you will need to add members to it.
You are now able to add posts/discussions to your new channel.
