Staff_Duo Authentication into Outlook or Teams on iOS Device

2-factor authentication makes it more difficult for someone other than yourself to sign-in to your Outlook, Teams, and OneDrive applications. This is part of NTC’s continuous effort to enhance overall security and protect your accounts from unauthorized access.

Instructions

  • When you have Teams installed on your iOS device you will get this screen when it is time to reauthenticate:

  • If you have Outlook installed on your device, when it is time to re-enter your password, you will get this notification:

  • Once you open Outlook\Teams you will be asked to re-enter your password:

  • After you enter the correct password, you will be prompted with the Duo 2-factor authentication screen.  If you have Duo 2-factor authentication on your smartphone, click the Send Me a Push button. If you have a Duo fob, click the Enter a Passcode button

  • If you clicked Send me a Push, click on the Duo push notification on your phone and click Approve. If you clicked Enter a Passcode, enter the number on your Duo fob and click Log In. If you have a newer ios device, you can apply pressure on the Push notification for Duo

  • You have successfully Duo 2-factor authenticated and Outlook\Teams will finish signing you in.

You must Duo 2-factor authenticate into Outlook, Teams, and OneDrive separately. Signing-in to one application, does not automatically sign you in to the others

You will be required to Duo 2-factor authenticate into Outlook, Teams, and OneDrive again every 14 days from this point on
