Staff_Duo Authentication into Outlook or Teams on iOS Device
2-factor authentication makes it more difficult for someone other than yourself to sign-in to your Outlook, Teams, and OneDrive applications. This is part of NTC’s continuous effort to enhance overall security and protect your accounts from unauthorized access.
Instructions
When you have Teams installed on your iOS device you will get this screen when it is time to reauthenticate:
If you have Outlook installed on your device, when it is time to re-enter your password, you will get this notification:
Once you open Outlook\Teams you will be asked to re-enter your password:
After you enter the correct password, you will be prompted with the Duo 2-factor authentication screen. If you have Duo 2-factor authentication on your smartphone, click the Send Me a Push button. If you have a Duo fob, click the Enter a Passcode button
If you clicked Send me a Push, click on the Duo push notification on your phone and click Approve. If you clicked Enter a Passcode, enter the number on your Duo fob and click Log In. If you have a newer ios device, you can apply pressure on the Push notification for Duo
You have successfully Duo 2-factor authenticated and Outlook\Teams will finish signing you in.
You must Duo 2-factor authenticate into Outlook, Teams, and OneDrive separately. Signing-in to one application, does not automatically sign you in to the others
You will be required to Duo 2-factor authenticate into Outlook, Teams, and OneDrive again every 14 days from this point on
