Student_AutoDesk on Windows
Instructions created for Windows 10
1. Navigate to the Autodesk website. https://www.autodesk.com/education/home
2. Click the SIGN IN link at the top of the page.
3. Click Sign In
4. Click CREATE ACCOUNT
5. Create your account using your NTC student email address which ends in @students.ntc.edu.
TIP: You MUST create your account using the same first and last name that appears on your NTC account. Any variation may prevent you from finishing the student verification process.
6. Click DONE
7. Log into your NTC student email account and locate the email from Autodesk.
8. Open the email and click on VERIFY EMAIL.
9. Click DONE
TIP: Once DONE is select you will be redirected to the Autodesk website and should already be logged in.
10. Click on About Autodesk Education
11. Click on Download free software
12. Click Get started under AUTOCAD
TIP: If you do not see Get started (or the link does not work) click on Menu, then Downloads, then Free student software then find Get Started under AUTOCAD.
13. Enter your student email address and click Next.
TIP: Your NTC student email address ends with @students.ntc.edu
14. Enter your password and click SIGN IN
TIP: The password is the one created in step 5 of this document.
15. Choose your Country, Educational role, and Institution Type, and Date of Birth and click NEXT.
TIP: Choose University/Post-Secondary as the institution type.
16. Enter Northcentral Technical College in the Name of educational institution search box and select Northcentral Technical College from the pop-up list.
Choose Area of study
Choose Enrolled from date
Choose Graduate in date
Click NEXT
17. Click CONTINUE
18. Click on Get Started!
19. In order to verify that you are a current student Autodesk requires documentation to support your request for software. Please upload a transcript, school-issued confirmation letter, or a copy of your student ID. When finished click on Submit. We highly recommending using your student ID.
Student ID’s can be obtained by visiting the Student Den on the Wausau campus.
TIP: If you receive the following message click on uploading.
TIP: We have found that a picture of your student ID that includes the NTC logo works the best.
20. Click on Close
21. Log into your NTC student email account and locate the email from Autodesk.
22. Open the email and click on GET PRODUCTS
23. Click on Get product
24. Click on INSTALL
25. Click on Accept
26. Click Save
TIP: Depending on which web browser you are using the save options may look different.
20. Click on the arrow next to the download application and choose Open.
21. Autocad will initialize and begin downloading files.
TIP: Please be patient. Depending on your internet connection this may take a while.
22. Click Install
23. Click Install
24. Autocad will download installation files.
TIP: Please be patient. Depending on your internet connection this may take a while.
