Student_Getting Started With Canvas

Open a web browser and navigate to canvas.ntc.edu.
TIP: Chrome is the preferred browser for accessing Canvas.Enter your NTC email address and click on Next
TIP: Your email ends with @students.ntc.edu
Enter your password and click Sign in.
NOTE: Having trouble with your password? Click on accounts.ntc.edu beneath the Sign in button. Or, follow our password reset instructions here.
If you have Microsoft Authenticator set up, use the numbers displayed on your screen to verify your account.
NOTE: If you receive the notification “more information required”, you need to set up Microsoft Authenticator. Click here to get started with Microsoft Authenticator.
Once logged in, you should see your Canvas dashboard.
On your Canvas dashboard, your current course(s) should be listed by name. Click on a course tile to open it.
NOTE: Not seeing your course? First, confirm the start date of the course. If the course has already started please contact the NTC IT Help Desk at https://www.ntc.edu/help-desk
To get started click Modules in the menu on the left.
Modules contain the content for your course such as reading, assignments, discussion boards, quizzes, exams, etc.
To navigate through your course click on a page, such as Plan for Completion, to open it. Then, to browse to the next or previous item in your course click the Next or Previous buttons at the bottom of the page.
For courses with a syllabus, click on the My Syllabus link in the menu on the left.
TIP: Not all courses have a syllabus.This is where you can access your course details such as where the course will be meeting (if not online), what materials you need, late policies, and more.
Please use the Canvas Student Tutorials for how to submit traditional Canvas assignments. Assignments do vary from course to course, please check your specific course assignment(s) for more details.
